The Story Behind Reletino
Every great solution starts with a problem. In Reletino's case, it was our own problem (as all startups should be 😉—"eat your own dog food"). Jorge (CEO) and Jonas (CTO) are active Reddit users, often browsing through both the business and tech side of Reddit.
Late 2022, a friend of our CTO, Jonas, had referred to us a SaaS project, whom of which he found browsing Reddit. This made us think: if there's one, there's probably more. So from here, Jorge had spent a substantial amount of time on Reddit looking for non-technical founders that could use our expertise.
After toooo many hours, Jorge had finally decided to look for a tool to help save time with his search so that he could focus on teasing his brain with other side-projects and research. He stumbled across quite a few platforms like Kwatch, GummySearch, but none were specific enough for him to accomplish what he needed: leads brought straight to him, in real-time.
The Problem
- I spent hours every day manually searching for prospects across social platforms
- Most leads discovered are already being contacted by competitors
- No way to monitor conversations 24/7 for time-sensitive opportunities
- High-intent prospects slip through the cracks during off-hours
The Solution
- AI agents continuously monitor Reddit for leads, defined in plain English prompts
- Real-time notifications when high-intent prospects post for help
- Smart filtering eliminates low-quality leads automatically
- First-mover advantage by reaching prospects within minutes
The Proof of Concept
Jorge then made the decision to build a little tool of his own in order to find every opportunity there was. The initial version of Reletino was… initial. It served its purpose, and that's it—as should any PoC.
All it did was filter a number of subreddits and used an AI Agent to filter them based on the definition of a Startino lead, through a prompt. The first round of development spanned a few days which is optimal for a PoC.
Early Impact
This initial version helped Startino find another partner a month after using it. Boom! ROI. This new project led to Startino taking a step off the acquisition train.
From PoC to MVP
Once time opened up for Jorge, he got straight into turning Reletino into a sell-able SaaS. This involved adding some trivial features like user authentication as well as unique features like:
- Automatically setting up a project based on their SaaS website
- Ability to provide feedback to the AI Agent so it learns from its mistakes over time
- Ability to generate comments and DMs (and train the Agent to improve those as well)
The transition of PoC to MVP is all about taking the feedback from the PoC and prioritizing only the most important and ignoring the rest.

Key Principles Followed
- Eat your own dog-food: Reletino was built from the founder's own problems. This makes creating a useful product much more plausible.
- Ship fast: Reletino's PoC was built in a few days with the MVP only taking 2 weeks. Not a lot of resources should be spent early on since the idea has not been fully validated yet.
